Hailing from Carmel, California, a sleepy village steeped in the arts and literature, Louis was lucky to be exposed to great minds who recognized and fostered his talents and interests early on. His childhood mentors were legends in film and photography; the Eastwood and Weston families and Ansel Adams would forever leave their mark on his imagination and inspire him to a career in filmmaking.
Graduate of UCLA film school and over the last twenty years, he has worked on numerous feature films, television programs, commercials and music videos in preparation for the opportunity to direct. His experience has been in all fields of production with hands-on experience as a director, assistant director, art director, camera assistant, story editor, storyboard artist and many other film-related positions. He’s worked on set alongside Hollywood’s greats, continuing a tradition of learning from the industry’s best: Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Ridley Scott, John Landis, Zalman King on such blockbuster films as Titanic and many others.
His achievements in writing, directing and producing have been recognized across many formats, from new media to TV to feature films. His music videos and short films have received awards from prestigious film festivals around the world. Whether on the set of hit reality shows like Surreal Life and Project Runway or his new YouTube channel Royal Strut (http://bit.ly/1PktOBP) , his talents, vision and efforts showcase not only his own abilities but those of the many artists he collaborates with. Louis and partner Keith Alan Hinson, the popular show host are in development with media giant Dick Clark Prods. to produce a kids dance competition show entitledd Time 2 Dance.
